Volunteer Opportunities

Greetings, and Happy New Year to RiverRun Volunteeers!

We hope everyone is well and ready for what is once again rapidly approaching:  The 14th annual (and 10th year in Winston-Salem) RiverRun International Film Festival, April 13-22.   And we need you!

Many of the films have been selected, party venues confirmed, guests invited, and special events arranged so there will be lots of new and fun volunteering to do!

We also will continue to use the VOLGISTICS volunteer communications system.  It will keep you informed and reminded about your assignments.  To sign up online, simply click on this link to be taken to the volunteer signup form!  Yes, even though you have volunteered with us before, you will need to reapply.   Shortly after you submit your volunteer form, you will receive an e-mail telling you how to log in to the VIC (VolunteerInformationCenter).  Follow the instructions for setting it up and let us know if you have any problems.  Once you have submitted your volunteer form, you will be receiving job sign-up information and more festival specifics.

Remember RiverRun is not a festival without our wonderful, enthusiastic, hospitable volunteers!  We absolutely rely on you to deliver what RiverRun has become known for, “Southern Hospitality!” So please register and encourage your friends as well!

Thanks in advance and we look forward to working with you once again!

About the program

Each year hundreds of dedicated volunteers help us to produce this nationally acclaimed Festival. It's a wonderful way to get involved, make new friends, see great films and have a one-of-a-kind experience. Volunteers are needed to assist in all areas of the RiverRun International Film Festival — from theatre entrances to shuttle stops to managing hospitality suites. RiverRun’s Volunteer Program is one of the most essential elements of putting on our 10 day Festival and enables us to fulfill our commitment of enriching the regional community by bringing the world of film to life.

We hope you will consider joining the 350+ volunteers who lend their time and energy to RiverRun each year, working to enhance Winston-Salem’s cultural landscape and the lives of its citizens via cinematic programming.

RiverRun International Film Festival Volunteers benefits include:

  • One 2012 Festival Film voucher for each completed 4 hour shift.
  • One 2012 Volunteer Credential for access to RiverRun’s public parties.
  • A RiverRun 2012 t-shirt.
  • A volunteer appreciation party after the Festival wraps!
