The RiverRun International Film Festival is currently celebrating its 21st anniversary year. Stay tuned for updates, 2020 film submission deadlines, and news on upcoming special screenings/events throughout year, all leading up to our next Festival, March 26 – April 5, 2020.
On Tuesday, October 15, RiverRun kicks off its 2019-2020 Indie Lens Pop-up series of free community screenings with the film Decade of Fire. Co-presented by the Forsyth County Central Public Library, the film begins at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by a panel discussion with guests including Allen Joines, Mayor of Winston-Salem; James Perry, President and CEO of the Urban League of Winston-Salem; George Redd, Director of Program Services for Habitat for Humanity of Winston-Salem; and Dr. Keith Vareen, Pastor of Providence Baptist Church in Kernersville.View More
RiverRun International Film Festival, a sponsor of the Greensboro 48 Hour Film Project, will present “The Best of the 2019 Greensboro 48 Hour Film Project” at Marketplace Cinemas on Thursday, September 12. Tickets are $3 and will be available at the door on the night of the screening. Iris Carter, director of the Greensboro 48 Hour Film Project, will be on hand to introduce the screening.View More

RiverRun is a juried film festival, and our juries in five competition categories convened on Sunday morning for their deliberations and awards were announced on Sunday afternoon. RiverRun is an Academy Award-qualifying festival in the categories of Documentary Short Film and Animated Short Film.
